A Curryville man is dead from injuries suffered in a two vehicle crash on Highway 161 south of Pike County Route Z at 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

The Highway Patrol reports 40 year old Isiah Hoskins of Curryville was northbound, crossed the center line and collided head on with a southbound Jeep, driven by 39 year old Rebecca Fuerst of New Hartford.

Hoskins was pronounced dead at the scene. Fuerst was taken by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries.

 

A Madison man escapes with minor injuries in a two vehicle crash on Highway 24 at Highway 15 in Paris at 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Highway Patrol reports 64 year old Stephen Vanhouten of Shelbina was southbound, stopped at the intersection. Vanhouten failed to yield, pulled into the intersection and was struck by an eastbound car, driven by 20 year old Tyler Wandrey of Madison.

Wandrey was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
