First Positive COVID-19 Case in Marion County

Marion County now has its first confirmed case of COVID-19.

Officials with the Marion County Health Department announced Thursday the first positive case of COVID-19 in Marion County is not travel related and is a female between the ages of 30 and 40.

The patient is quarantined at home.

The health department reminds you to take appropriate precautions including good hygiene, social distancing and limiting in-person interactions.

If you’re sick, especially with a fever and cough or shortness of breath, you should stay home and contact your health care provider or urgent care center.
