Missouri Woman Confesses to Horrific Murders Trying to Steal Baby

This is almost unimaginable. The United State's Attorney's Office in the western district of Missouri has shared details of how a Missouri woman has confessed to a double murder as she attempted to steal a baby from inside his pregnant mother.

I will just warn you now that the details of what the US Attorney's Office in Missouri has just shared are graphic and awful. They say that Amber Waterman, 44, of Pineville, Missouri has admitted to doing the unthinkable. She used a different alias on Facebook and contacted Ashley Bush from Maysville, Arkansas who was 31 weeks pregnant at the time. This initial contact led to a horrible crime.

Amber Waterman confessed to contacting Ashley Bush and portraying that she had a job opportunity for her. That led to an in-person meeting on Oct. 28, 2022, at the Gravette, Arkansas public library. They agreed to meet again on October 31. When they met that second time, Waterman told Bush that she would drive her to meet a supervisor and it's then when she abducted her and drove the woman back to her Pineville, Missouri home.

At 5pm on October 31, 2022, authorities received a 911 call from Waterman claiming she had given birth to a baby on the way to the hospital and the baby wasn't breathing. Now, she has confessed to killing Ashley Bush by trying to steal the baby from within her. Both Ashley Bush and her unborn child died.

“This horrific crime resulted in the tragic deaths of two innocent victims,” said U.S. Attorney Teresa Moore. “Today’s guilty plea holds this defendant accountable for her actions and ensures that justice will be served. She is now subject to a mandatory sentence of life in federal prison without parole.”
