Crash at US 24 and Spring Lake Drive Injures Two

A two car collision at US 24 and Spring Lake Drive at 12:36 Monday afternoon injures both drivers.

The Adams County Sheriff’s department says 75-year-old Karen Cookson of Quincy told them she did not see an oncoming car on US 24 driven by 51-year-old Nikki Gronewald of Clayton and attempted to cross the highway.

Gronewald and Cookson were taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment. Both cars had to be towed from the scene.
