The City of Quincy will hold a National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 5 at Quincy's City Hall.

All Pastoral & Clergy staff, state, county, & local Elected officials, all public & private educators, first responders, business leaders, media, and the state attorney’s office & our local Judges are invited to join the Mayor for the Prayer Breakfast taking place on Thursday, May 5th at 7 AM at the WTJR Studios (220 N 6th St.).

Then weather permitting Quincy's City Hall will be hosting a public National Day of Prayer at Noon on Thursday, May 5 in the parking lot of city hall. If there is bad weather, the event will be moved to the Council Chambers of City Hall.

National Day of Prayer has been celebrated since 1952 when then-President Harry Truman signed into law a joint resolution stating that the President would dedicate one day every year to a National Day of Prayer.
