Cifaldi Concedes Defeat in State’s Attorney’s Race
Despite the fact that the vote totals may not be known for another two weeks, Jennifer Cifaldi has conceded defeat in the Adams County State’s Attorney’s race.
Cifaldi issued a statement late Wednesday night, saying that, despite the electoral process Tuesday being flawed, she has concluded that she trails Gary Farha by too wide of a margin, and conceded the race.
In the votes that have been counted so far, Farha has a lead of over 3,000 votes out of nearly 13,000 cast.
Adams County Clerk Chuck Ververtloh apparently didn’t print enough ballots for Tuesday’s primary. As a result, there was a shortage of ballots and some voters who wanted to cast ballots were turned away.
There were no Democratic candidates for state’s attorney in the primary, although a candidate could still be named to run in November.
