Tuesday is primary election day in Missouri, with a number of contested races in the area.

In Marion County, Mark Novak and Joshua Parson are running for the Republican nomination for Assessor, and Melonie Nevels and Wendy Howe are vying for the GOP nomination for Public Administrator.

In Ralls County, on the Republican side, Brad Stinson and Ron Haught are on the ballot for Sheriff, Gerry Dinwiddie and Robert Van Winkle would both like the Republican nomination for Coroner, and John Wayne Lake and Roger Woodhurst are running for the GOP nomination for Western Commissioner.

In Monroe County, Joe Colston and Tyler Wheeler are running for the Republican nomination for Sheriff while Billy Johnston, Jr. and Marilyn O’Bannon are on the ballot for the GOP nomination for Western District Commissioner.

And, in Shelby County, Aaron Fredrickson, Raymond Barton, Cole Hinshaw and Brad Wilt are running for the Republican nomination for Sheriff.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
