A Chicago woman injured in a one vehicle crash Sunday morning was injured again in a second crash eleven hours later in north Missouri.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 26 year old Brittany Griggs sustained serious injuries in a two car collision on US 63 near Cairo at 6:30 Sunday evening. In that second collision… troopers say Griggs was a passenger in a car driven by 26 year old Ryan Mohr of Huntsville when he attempted to cross US 63 at Route Z without yielding. Griggs and a 45 year old Moberly man were life flighted to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. Mohr and another passenger were taken to University Hospital by ambulance—also with serious injuries.

Griggs was the driver of an SUV that went off US 24 and overturned in Monroe County Sunday morning. Griggs and nine passengers sustained injuries in that crash. Troopers say Griggs fell asleep at the wheel.
