Calhoun County Residents Charged with Pike County Drug Induced Homicide
Two Calhoun County residents make their first court appearance Tuesday in Pike County on drug induced homicide charges.
30 year old Derek Tepen and 26 year old Kayla Howard were arrested at a residence in Batchtown Saturday and charged Tuesday in connection with the death March 4th of 35 year old Gavin Bland of Milton.
Tepen and Howard are alleged to have delivered a substance containing fentanyl to Bland, who died after ingesting the substance.
The two face a preliminary hearing April 4th. They are in the Pike County Jail on $200,000 bond each.
