Burglary Investigation Yields Marijuana Arrests
Hannibal Police say a burglary investigation leads to arrests on marijuana charges.
Police say they were at a residence in the 700 block of Pine while attempting to locate a juvenile involved in a burglary. As they contacted the occupants, police noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the house. A male was taken into custody on a city warrant and questioned about the odor. He told officers he ate the marijuana just before answering the door. Use of a search warrant at that residence yielded a substance believed to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia along with a large amount of what is believed to be methamphetamine. Police took 33-year-old Michael Bell and 25-year-old Desirae Shaw into custody. Bell was taken to the Marion County Jail. Shaw was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and released pending a warrant.
