Biscuits for a Buck Friday in Pike County, Missouri

You can get a great meal and help a worthy cause Friday in Pike County Missouri.

The North East Community Action Corporation is participating in the 18th annual Heat Up St. Louis Rise & Shine fund-raiser.

The event takes place from 6 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hardee’s restaurants in Bowling Green and Louisiana.

Customers will be able to buy a sausage and egg or egg biscuit for $1. All proceeds will stay in Pike County to assist disadvantaged residents with utility bills. Last year’s event raised about $1,000.

Heat Up St. Louis was founded in 1990 and has helped more than 300,000 people in 24 counties by raising more than $10 million in contributions.
