Audio Recording Admissible in Perry Attempted Murder Case
An Adams County Circuit Court Judge ruled Monday that an audio recording made by the alleged victim of a shooting will be admissible as evidence when the case goes to trial.
Judge Debra Wellborn denied a motion by the attorney for 34 year old Amanda Perry to prevent the recording from being admitted.
Amanda Perry is alleged to have shot her husband, 43 year old Michael Perry, in the eye with a handgun on July 5th in their home at 1135 Vermont.
Amanda Perry has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated domestic battery and reckless discharge of a firearm.
She is in the Adams County Jail on $250,000 bond. Perry has a pretrial court date set for Friday, with the case set to go to trial in October.
