Another Charge in Pike County Murder Case

A man accused of killing his son in Pike County Missouri now faces a third charge. 45-year-old Michael Lee Phillips of Saint John had already faced second-degree murder and armed criminal action. On Monday, a felony charge of voluntary manslaughter was added.

Phillips is accused of shooting 22-year-old Jeff Chisholm. The incident occurred shortly before 9 o’clock the night of August 31st of last year at a cabin on County Road 52 just off of Highway 61 between Bowling Green and Frankford.

Phillips will be arraigned April 24th. He’s in the Pike County Jail on 200 thousand dollars cash-only bond.
