Adams County Deputies Warn of Scam

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies are warning of a scam.

Deputies say a male identifying himself as Lieutenant Damien Brooks or Lieutenant Damian Wolf from the Adams County Police Department Warrants Division has been making calls to potential victims, and telling them that a family member missed a court appearance and better have money to pay them.

Deputies say the calls come from phone numbers 221-4281 or 240-4281.
