2 Suspects Charged with 1st Degree Assault in Hannibal Death
There are now more charges stemming from an assault that resulted in a death in Hannibal early Sunday morning. 2 more Hannibal residents have just been charged with 1st degree assault in the case.

The Hannibal Police Department provided an update to the assault that resulted in a death in the 100 block of North Main Sunday morning, October 9, 2022. The new charges are as follows for these suspects:
- Jordan A Payne (27) of Hannibal - Assault in the 1st degree
- Thomas D.C. Payne (29) of Hannibal - Assault in the 1st degree
According to the Hannibal Police Department statement, both suspects are being held in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 bond and they remain there at this current time.
The mention that this is an ongoing investigation so updates are possible as this incident continues to be pursued by multiple law enforcement agencies.
