A Loraine man is charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving while revoked and obstructing justice after Adams County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Ursa Sunday night shortly before 9 p.m.

A passing motorist came upon an incident where an adult female reported jumped from a moving vehicle headed east on Illinois 61. Deputies learned the vehicle was driven by 43-year-old Stacey Mayfield of Loraine.

Deputies determined that he was driving while impaired and with a revoked Illinois driver’s license. Mayfield was taken to the Adams County Jail. The female was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of injuries to her head and extremities.
