Woman Accused of Fatally Shooting Fiance in Rolla
A 22-year-old woman is charged with second-degree murder in the death of her fiancé at a home in Rolla.
Meghan Werner of Rolla is also charged with armed criminal action. She is jailed on $1 million bond.
Police say 22-year-old Curt Marzlof of Monroe, Wisconsin, was fatally shot about 5:45 a.m. Saturday. Werner told authorities that Marzlof committed suicide.
Police say they determined the couple had been involved in a physical altercation. Police also cited evidence that Marzlof's death was not a suicide. Details about that evidence have not been released.
