Pittsfield Man Pleads Guilty, Sentenced for 2019 Murder
A Pittsfield man has pleaded guilty to a 2019 murder.
As part of a negotiated plea in Pike County Circuit Court Thursday, 25 year old William Poor pleaded guilty second degree murder and obstruction of justice, and was sentenced to 17 and a half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Poor is alleged to have beaten Joshua Witherbee in an altercation in Pittsfield March 27th of 2019. Witherbee later died at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
