The first week of November will start out unseasonably warm, with rain and colder temperatures in store by the weekend in northeast Missouri and western Illinois.

National Weather Service forecasters say the week begins with sunshine and warm temperatures through midweek. Highs will top out in the mid 70s Monday through Wednesday, with lows from the upper 40s to mid 50s.

A chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm moves into the area Thursday and Friday, with the best chance of precip coming Thursday night.

A cooldown also moves in Thursday, with highs around 70 Thursday, dropping to 60 Friday and to the mid 50s Saturday and Sunday. Lows drop from around 50 Thursday night to the upper 30s Friday night to the mid 30s Saturday night.
