Video of Meteor Exploding Over Illinois Near Space Station in Sky
Some that went outside late Friday night in Illinois to observe the passing of the International Space Station got a big surprise as a meteor exploded in the sky near the ISS.
There are already dozens of reports of this fireball from the American Meteor Society that was seen over Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin. The timestamp on the reports say this was visible at approximately 11:03pm Friday night, July 11, 2024.
This video was captured from McFarland, Wisconsin. Notice in the video as they focused on the International Space Station, the meteor suddenly becomes visible from the top left part of the screen.
