For entrepreneurs in Pike County, Illinois needing assistance with growing their small business, help is on the way.

Congressman Darin LaHood has announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved a $50,000 rural development grant to assist the Western Illinois University Foundation in helping small businesses in Pike County.

LaHood says the investment will enable the WIU Foundation to provide important technical assistance to rising entrepreneurs and small businesses in Pike County.

The grant money will focus on business retention and expansion projects, helping with everything from marketing and social media to customer relations and transition planning.
