There are few organizations that are more effective in capturing fugitives on the run than the United States Marshals. They just announced they captured a violent fugitive wanted on multiple felony warrants after they became aware that he was on the loose in Missouri.

The US Marshals just announced in a press release that they had captured Xavier Jones who was wanted in Jackson County, Missouri and also in Kansas. The felony warrants include robbery, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and felony theft.

The US Marshals became aware that Xavier Jones was holed up in this Kansas City, Missouri neighborhood in the East Terrace area.

According to the US Marshals in Kansas City, Missouri report, Jones did not initially surrender when made aware that US Marshals had surrounded the home he was in, but finally did after a lengthy negotiation.

They stated that the capture of this violent Missouri fugitive was a concerted effort involving U.S. Marshals Midwest Violent Fugitive Task Force-Kansas City Division, operates in conjunction with members of the Kansas City and St. Joseph Missouri Police Departments, the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol plus other federal agencies.
