A recently formed alliance of community betterment organizations in Pike County, Missouri announces the hiring of its first director.

Officials with the Unified Economic Development Council announce that Maggie Neff of Louisiana began her duties as Director last week.

Neff brings a varied resume to the job, with a law degree from the University of Missouri, experience as a legislative analyst with the Missouri House of Representatives, and as the owner of a Louisiana restaurant.

Neff’s focus as UEDC director includes business retention and expansion, entrepreneurship and new business creation and workforce development.

The UEDC is an alliance of the Louisiana Chamber of Commerce, Visitors and Convention Bureau, Community Betterment and Municipal Corporation.
