Authorities report two traffic crashes in the area Sunday.

A collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV at Illinois 96 and South 48th near Quincy at 10:19 Sunday evening results in minor injuries for the motorcyclist and a passenger. Adams County Sheriff’s deputies say an SUV driven by 42-year-old Kelly Schreake of Quincy turned onto 96 and into the path of a motorcycle driven by 27-year-old Benjamin Hickman of Fowler. Hickman and a passenger, 23-year-old Michelle Mast of Hannibal were taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment of minor injuries. Deputies say Schreake is charged with failure to yield at a stop intersection, no insurance and DUI.

A one car crash on US 136 two miles west of Wayland at 10:18 Sunday morning results in serious injuries for a Kahoka man. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a car driven by 19-year-old Mathew McCreary went off the road, hit a culvert and overturned. Troopers say McCreary was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. McCreary was taken by Air Evac helicopter to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.
