A traffic stop at 1:30 this morning results in two methamphetamine arrests.

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle at on Illinois 57 at South 12th for an equipment violation. The investigation led deputies to suspect drug violations and the Quincy Police Department K-9 unit was called in. The dog alerted on the vehicle and a search yielded items consistent with the use of methamphetamine. Deputies say two passengers in the car—33 year old Steven Howser of Quincy and 22 year old Miranda Hester of Ewing were arrested and taken to the Adams County Jail. Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine.
