Two Fatalities on Missouri Highways Over Christmas Holiday
There were just two traffic fatalities on Missouri roads over the Christmas reporting period.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, troopers investigated 91 traffic crashes, resulting in 23 injuries and two fatalities.
One of the fatalities happened Christmas Day in Lincoln County when a 32 year old Troy woman died in a single vehicle crash in Silex.
The other holiday fatal involved a 48 year old DeSoto man who died when his motorcycle was struck on Interstate 55 in Jefferson County.
Eleven people were killed during the Christmas holiday last year. That was a 102 hour reporting period, compared to the 30 hour reporting period this year.
