One driver is killed and three are injured, one seriously, in Christmas Day traffic crashes around the area.

There was a fatal traffic crash in Lincoln County on Christmas Day.

The Highway Patrol reports 32 year old Elizabeth Rutledge of Troy was northbound on Highway H in Silex at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Rutledge’s SUV ran off the road. She overcorrected, her vehicle came back on the road and overturned, ejecting Rutledge from the vehicle.

Rutledge was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

A teenager from Palmyra suffers serious injuries in a single vehicle crash on Highway 168 east of Palmyra at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday.

The Highway Patrol reports a 16 year old juvenile from Palmyra was westbound when she attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway. Her SUV ran off the road and overturned.

The girl was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment.

 

The driver and his two year old passenger escape with minor injuries in a single vehicle crash on Ralls County Route F south of New London at 6:14 p.m. Wednesday.

The Highway Patrol reports 30 year old Rodney Harvey of Quincy was northbound when his SUV ran off the road and overturned.

Harvey and his passenger, a two year old juvenile from Hannibal, were taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.
