Pittsfield Man Arrested for Sex Offender Violation

A Pittsfield man is arrested Saturday on charges that include parole violation.

Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood reports his office received information that 47 year old Jeffrey Kinne, a registered child sex offender in Pike County, was living in a residence in Barry that is near Lafayette Park in Barry.

Kinne had been released from the Illinois Department of Corrections the day before on mandatory supervised release.

Kinne was taken into custody for being a child sex offender residing within 500 feet of a public park and on an Illinois Department of Corrections Parole Violation warrant.

Kinne is lodged in the Pike County Jail.
