Quincy Police Investigating Saturday Infant Death

An investigation is underway into the death of an infant in Quincy Saturday.

Quincy Police and ambulance personnel were called to a home in the 600 block of South 7th Street about 8:55 a.m. Saturday.

First responders found an unresponsive two month old child, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was performed on the infant Sunday in Bloomington.

Quincy Police are conducting the investigation into the infant’s death, with the assistance of the Adams County Coroner’s office, the Department of Children and Family Services and medical personnel.
