Missouri Highway Patrol troopers say a sobriety checkpoint overnight earlier this month results in several arrests. The checkpoint in Marion County was in operation overnight from August 20th to August 21st. There were two DWI arrests. Troopers also report making an arrest on a felony warrant… two misdemeanor drug arrests… and two misdemeanor warrant arrests. Troopers also issued three traffic citations and 27 warnings. The goal of these enforcement operations is to remove impaired drivers from the road and to detect other traffic violations that contribute to crashes.
