Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton says two men face charges in the county for assaulting law enforcement officers in recent days.
Clayton says Ryan Salsman is charged with assault and resisting arrest in an incident involving a Hannibal Police officer. His bond is set at 50-thousand dollars cash only Dalton Kroeger is charged in the assault of a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper. His bond is set at 10-thousand dollars cash only. Court documents indicate both officers were struck in the face and injured while making arrests. Clayton says this type of behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Neither officer suffered life threatening injuries. Salsman has prior convictions for arson and possession of a controlled substance. Salsman faces up to 11 years if convicted on both counts. Kroeger faces up to seven years if convicted.
