A LaBelle man and a Kirksville man face charges following a fatal fire northwest of Knox City.

61 year old Ray Tripp Jr. was found dead in the rubble. Cause of death is still pending a final autopsy report.

Knox County Sheriffs’ deputies arrested 39 year old Wesley Ruggles Friday. 52 year old Bradley Wilkins of Kirksville was arrested Saturday by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Wilkins is charged with second degree arson…unlawful possession of a firearm and felony stealing.

Ruggles faces charges of assault… armed criminal action and misdemeanor stealing. Both are charged with first degree burglary and tampering with a motor vehicle.
