
Three Northeast Missouri Residents Arrested in Marblehead Meth Bust
The West Central Illinois Task Force conducted a drug investigation near Marblehead on Tuesday afternoon.
Three subjects from the state of Missouri, Cameron T. Carothers, age 24, Paula D. Schwieter, age 30, and April L. Darnell, age 29 were all arrested on the charges of Methamphetamine Trafficking, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Carothers was also arrested for Driving While Revoked and Schwieter was also arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The subjects were arrested after delivering methamphetamine to an undercover agent. A search of their vehicle revealed a loaded handgun, methamphetamine paraphernalia, drug packaging, drug records, and prescription drugs.
The subjects were transported to the Adams County Jail were they remain lodged. The task force was assisted in the investigation by District 20 Illinois State Police and the Adams County Sheriffs Office.
