Tire failure is blamed for a semi crash injuring three people in Pike County, Missouri. The Highway Patrol reports a semi driven by 57 year-old Rickey Frankel of Quincy was traveling on Highway 61 south of Pike County Route C.  At 4:45 p.m Sat, the right front tire malfunctioned.  The semi ran off the road into a concrete bluff.

Frankel suffered moderate injuries and went to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance.  A passenger, 56 yr old Colleen Frankel suffered serious injuries and was flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.  A second passenger, 67 year-old Charles Bryson of Ursa, Illinois suffered moderate injuries and went by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
