Las Vegas Trucker Hurt, Ticketed in I-172 Semi Crash

A trucker from Las Vegas is hurt and is ticketed as the result of a semi crash on the I-172 southbound on ramp at Illinois 57 at 2:53 p.m. Friday.

The Illinois State Police reports that 40 year old Dedric Armstrong was southbound on Highway 57, failed to negotiate the turn onto the on ramp and lost control, with the semi overturning onto its left side.

Armstrong was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was also ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
