A slow moving string of strong thunderstorms dumped several inches of rain on the area, leaving wide spread flash flooding in its wake.

Heavy rains overnight and Tuesday morning has resulted in flash flooding around the area.

Depending on where you are in the area, you have potentially hazardous weather of one sort or another on the way.

Multiple flash flood watches and warnings have been posted by the National Weather Service for northeast Missouri and western Illinois.
