If you need to make a 911 call in northeast Missouri this afternoon, you may have trouble getting through.

Those of us in Quincy and Adams County now have a new option when it comes to reporting an emergency. Quincy/Adams County 911 Director Steve Rowlands announced that the region can now contact 911 via text message.

Ralls County 911 Emergency Services Board will announce and introduce its new 911 Director this evening. Chairman William Bowman says the announcement will be at 6 p.m. at the Ralls County 911 building. The public is invited to attend.
