Springfield MO Man Arrested in on Theft, Weapons Charges

A Springfield, Missouri man is arrested on theft and firearms charges in Pike County, Illinois Wednesday morning.

The Illinois State Police received a report from the Adams County Sheriff’s Department of the theft of a truck tractor from a local business.

A state trooper located the stolen rig on Interstate 72 west of Barry about 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver, 38 year old Jimmy Devons Coe, was taken into custody without incident.

A search of the stolen vehicle revealed a 40 caliber handgun which belonged to Coe.

Coe is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen vehicle and theft over $10,000.
