The good news is you probably won't experience this if you live in the northern parts of Missouri. The bad news is you are about to see Missouri's wacky winter change again if you live in the southern part of the state late this weekend into early next week.

The end of this week we're experiencing stunning warm weather in Missouri. That's about to change.

About a week ago, I shared the news that many forecasters and even storm chasers believed that Missouri was gonna get hit with winter weather Valentine's Day week. That was based on one computer model that had some outrageous snow amount predictions. Fortunately, that does not appear to be the case anymore. However, now multiple models show that the southern half of Missouri could see several inches of snow beginning either late Sunday or early Monday.

This map shows the expected snow amounts which show the extreme southern part of Missouri getting several inches.

There are several things to know about this incoming system. First of all, these models currently show a southern track through Missouri. That could move further north which might mean wintry weather or a mixture for the northern part of the state. Second, if you live in southern Missouri, plan on disrupted and/or dangerous travel for the Monday morning commute.

Since this is Missouri weather we're talking about, change is always possible and systems can be unpredictable. It's another change in what has been a wacky winter so far that doesn't appear to be settling down anytime soon.
