The Postal Service Motto is: Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds... but I would add a boa constrictor constitutes non-delivery grounds!

According to the Kansas City Star, a letter carrier had to forego delivery at an Overland Park home on Friday. As the carrier approached the front porch, he encountered a red tail boa constrictor wrapped around the mailbox.

The carrier contacted animal control. It took 3 officers to remove the huge reptile and place it in an animal shelter. Officials believe the snake may have slithered away from a nearby home.

As for the mail carrier, he didn’t hang around to see if the snake left a forwarding address.
