Six Injured in Shelby County Crash

A one-vehicle crash near Hunnewell sends six people to the hospital Saturday morning. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred on US 36 at 6:45 a.m.

Troopers say 39 year-old Jose Miranda-Gomez of Garden City, Kansas was driving eastbound when his van veered off the roadway.  It struck a field entrance and a road sign before coming to rest in a ditch.  Miranda-Gomez sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance.

Five passengers from Garden City,  Kansas, reported minor injuries and also went to Hannibal Regional: 38 year-old Hayde Flores-Cortez, 12 year-old Alexander Miranda, 7 year-old Andrew Miranda, 11 year-old Hayde Miranda, and 14 year-old Jose Miranda.
