A torch lighting and run marking the start of registration for the 34th Show-Me State Games makes a stop in Hannibal. Several students from Holy Family School participated in the Hannibal segment of the torch run. Events for competitors of all ages and ability levels are planned in Columbia and mid Missouri in June and July. The Olympic style sports festival runs June 8 through 10 and July 20 through 22nd and July 27th through 29th. David Fox is the executive director.
He says the Show Me State Games use top notch facilities at the University of Missouri in Columbia and Columbia Parks facilities.
The stop in Hannibal is the fifth of ten state wide torch runs to generate exposure and enthusiasm for the Show-Me State Games throughout Missouri. Visit smsg.org for details on this year’s games.
