A judge has granted a continuance in the sentencing of a southwest Missouri murder suspect on a previous conviction for sexual misconduct.

The Joplin Globe reports that Jasper County Circuit Judge David Dally granted a continuance Monday in the sentencing of TerryRay Riggle. Riggle was scheduled to be sentenced on a conviction for exposing himself to a girl younger than 15 two years ago.

Riggle's lawyer sought the continuance. The judge set Nov. 30 as the new date for the sentencing.

Riggle and Ginger Slater were charged Friday with first-degree murder in the disappearance of Slater's husband, Jonny Slater. A land surveyor found the husband's remains June 3 in an old mine shaft on the edge of Carterville.

Riggle and Ginger Slater are in custody.
