According to our sister station, KSIS in Sedalia, Police received a call on the night of April 30 from a woman who said she had gotten away from a man who was holding her captive in his home and in a "large wooden box.' According to the KSIS report, "Sedalia Police said that the woman knew the suspect and it is believed that the relationship the two had was at first consensual and that is why there has not been a missing person report."

The victim has not been identified. She has reportedly been taken to a safe, undisclosed location.

Police are searching for 48-year-old  James Horn Jr,  5-foot-eleven inches tall, 175 pounds. Horn's vehicle was found in southern Pettis County. Police are concerned that he could harm himself or others.
