Road Closures For Bridge the Gap Race
This weekend Downtown Quincy will see walkers and runners of all types for the Bridge The Gap to Health Race. That means road closures and detours for some of us.

Quincy Medical Group has released the road closures and detours for this weekends 21st annual race. Safety is their number one priority to keep racers and walkers safe, along with staff members and race spectators.
These streets that will be closed from 5 AM until Noon on Saturday
- Front Street from Jersey to Broadway
- Bonansinga from Cedar to Broadway
- 2nd Street from Jersey to Spring
- Broadway from 3rd to Bonansinga
- Vermont from 3rd to Front Street
- Hampshire from 3rd to Front Street
- 3rd Street from Broadway to Maine
- 4th Street from Jersey to Hampshire
- Maine Street from 4th Street to 24th Street
- 5th Street from Maine to Hampshire
- Hampshire from 5th to 3rd Street
There are also some detours due to 3rd & 4th St closures from 6 am - 10 am:
- Highway 24 traffic coming from Memorial Bridge
- South on 3rd Street
- East on State Street
- North on 24th Street/Highway 96
- West on Broadway/IL 104
- North on Highway 24
IL 57 Traffic Coming North into Quincy or to access North side of course
- East on State Street
- North on 24th Street/Highway 96
- West on Broadway/IL 104
- North onto Highway 24
Gardner Expressway/IL 57 or South side of course
- West onto Bayview Bridge
- Turn around at 2nd highway median crossover
- East onto Memorial Bridge
- South onto Gardner Expressway
These streets will be closed from 6 am - 12 pm
- West lanes of 2nd Street from Spring to Cherry
- Cedar Street from 3rd to Bonansinga Drive
- Bonansinga Drive from Cedar to Kochs Lane
There is a chance for rain and cold temps this weekend. In case of bad weather, Quincy Medical Group will work with Adams County Emergency Management Agency to make sure that all participates in the race are safe.
