Quincy Standoff Ends With An Arrest

A Quincy man is in custody following a Friday morning standoff near 20th and Maple.
Quincy Police say 46 year old Zachary Nokes is charged with aggravated assault with
a firearm following the incident. Police were called to the area around 9 a-m Friday.
Nokes was taken into custody around 11:15 a-m. Officers were seen around the house with weapons drawn and pointed at the house. An individual in the residence was able to escape as Nokes was barricaded in the house. The Adams County Sheriff’s department indicates Nokes is also a suspect in a Thursday burglary. A gun taken in the burglary was recovered from the house.
