The employment of Sean Taylor as head basketball coach of the Quincy Senior High Blue Devils came to an end this morning. The Quincy School Board voted to remove him, according to Quincy Herald-Whig. School Board President Stephanie Erwin made the announcement after the board voted 6 to nothing to remove Taylor from his basketball position.

Board member Melvin "Bud" Niekamp abstained. Erwin did say that Taylor would remain as a teacher in the school district. Taylor called the decision a "disappointment," according to the Herald-Whig's story.

The 46 year old Taylor, a 2012 IBCA Hall of Fame inductee, coached the Blue Devils for 11 seasons and finished his career at QHS with a record of 194 wins and 107 losses.
