Authorities are in search of a suspect wanted in connection with an apparent bank robbery.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to RCS Bank on Veteran’s Road in Hannibal just before 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Marion County 911 reports the suspect being sought is a white male wearing a stocking cap, black hoodie with a gold emblem and blue jeans. They also report he was carrying a handgun and was last seen walking in the Veterans Road and Stardust Road area.

Hannibal Police have joined state troopers in the search and the investigation.

At 12:35 Wednesday afternoon, officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Ralls County State Bank, located at 390 N Veterans Rd.

Employees reported a white male wearing a stocking cap over his face, hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans entered the bank and presented a note to a teller demanding money. The subject then left the bank on foot, headed east.

This incident is under investigation and more information will be sent out as it is confirmed.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
