Pickup Strikes Pedestrian in Ursa

(Ursa, Ill)--Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies report a vehicle struck a pedestrian in Ursa Saturday.

The accident happened on Highway 96 near Grime Road just before 8 p.m.  Deputies say 90 year old Chester Woodworth did not see an oncoming pickup as he walked into the roadway.

The truck driven by 35 year old Daniel Buelt of Hamilton struck Woodworth.  Woodworth was taken by ambulance to Blessing Hospital for evaluation of his injuries.

Deputies say no charges were filed.
