Palmyra Bicentennial Ball/Legion Centennial Open House Saturday

There will be a couple of milestones celebrated in Palmyra Saturday night.

The Palmyra Bicentennial Committee hosts a bicentennial ball and concert from 7 to 10 p.m. at the American Legion Building.

Also, Boots-Dickson American Legion Post 174 of Palmyra celebrates its 100th anniversary with an open house on the west side of the Legion Building.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for the open house, with displays of military and post memorabilia.

Doors open at 6:30 for the ball, featuring the Gateway City Big Band from St. Louis.
